This 1926 Bentley 3L Speed model has become known as "a true child of Bicester Heritage".

So many onsite specialists were involved in it's resurgence, for the purposes of Tomas de Vargas Machuca's 2025 Peking to Paris solo journey.

Kingsbury Racing is privileged to be such a specialist, charged with the full restoration and rally modification.

We'd previously upgraded to a 4 1/2L engine but due to damage sustained during the Sahara Challenge 2024, we've since taken to serious chassis repairs and strengthening, including custom chassis strut gear and reinforcing plates. Due to the trip being a solo venture, we installed a fully integrated instrument panel with navigational instruments.

“We needed full rally re-preparation, so I went back to Ewen Getley of Kingsbury Racing at Bicester Heritage who happily agreed to carry out the majority of what has since become the re-birth!” - Tomas.

It has become in Tomas's own words, “a true child of Bicester Heritage,” prepared for the rigours of the P2P 2025 by the Bicester Heritage community.
